Great product and great company. But I couldn't get past the taste. Have to add 6 tablespoons of stevia just to be able to drink it. I switched to just L-Citrulline from Bulk supplements and I'm very pleased. This was my first purchase from bulksupplements but *won't* be my last.. It's refreshing to find a company who understands what their customers want to pay for .. and what they don't want to pay for. I want to pay for a superior product that contains the ingredients listed on the label without a lot of mysterious additives. I don't want to pay for overly elaborate packaging with eye dazzling graphics or pictures of genetically gifted people on the front. i want to buy the product in a quantity that meets my needs for more than a few weeks, and I want some kind of price break for buying in quantity. At the same time, I want to be able to buy a smaller amount of a supplement that I wish to try for the first time in order to see if it works for me.I'll skip the science and potential benefits as a little work with Google or your favorite search engine will cover that in tremendous detail. If you're curious about the supplement, check the studies done by the National Institute of Health or some of the sports/fitness related organizations. They can be found online and are brief and informative reads. Citrulline .. particularly the citrulline/malate combination is a genuinely beneficial supplement with no known side effects of any consequence. Once again, do a little reading. I think you'll get excited about this supplement. The product is professionally packaged in a solid, plain white resealable envelope. There is a good bit of information on the label including a list of what is *not* in the product (there is NO sugar, gluten, soy, dairy, yeast or other additives). As other reviewers have noted, it has a bit of tartness about it .. due to the malate. I mix it in with a generic strawberry/watermelon sugar-free drink which is already a little tart and I find it actually enhances the flavor. Be a little creative and you won't be fighting the tartness that this powder adds to whatever you mix it in with.OK .. do I perceive any benefit from taking the supplement? Yes I do, but that is subjective and as with most supplements can vary from person to person. YMMV. As with most supplements, there are ways to take them to derive the most benefit. A little work with a search engine will yield informative articles that describe how to take this supplement as well as suggested starting amounts. To summarize, the l-citrulline malate supplement appears to be one of the real deals in the supplements world. Bulksupplements appears to deliver a superior product at a great price point. As my supply of various supplements from other vendors winds down, I'm replacing them with products from bulksupplements. No review would be complete without a possible negative. If I had to find fault with something, it would be the zip lock feature of the bag the product comes in .. this is the feature allows a person to reseal the bag. It takes some work to get it to reseal and I'm never 100% certain I have it completely resealed. I put the bag inside a gallon zip lock back (just in case) and have had no real issues. Not a deal breaker in any way and still a 5 star product.Very interesting animal, this.Started with 1/2 teaspoon but now taking only 1/4, same effect.Just plop it on my tongue and enjoy the citrus flavor for a second and then down a ton of water.Other reviews on other sites say to take it about 20 minutes before and it produces a great pump for about 20 minutes regardless of dose. It seems to take about 30-40 minutes to kick in for me and lasts about a half hour.If I take it on a non-workout day, after about 2 hours, every muscle I have seems to pump but because I am not working out it is more like a strong, cold tingle sensation. It is like every muscle is suddenly sore, whether or not I worked it the previous day! Weird, but that has happened twice so I know it is the cause. On non-workout days I typically do more cardio and run *however* I do not get the pump in my calves despite the fact that my tight calves always bulge out like balloons when I run; but no pump. Strange.I can also attest to the the anecdotal evidence that it provides an increase in libido (and more frequent arousing thoughts) as well as an increase in hardness and head sensitivity even though I have always been rock hard. These increases are typical for an increase in circulating Arginine but I do not currently supplement Arginine (other than is what is in my Whey supplements). Orgasm and the fluid accompanying it is also deeper, longer and stronger *regardless* of timing. Some guys say they take it 30 minutes before bed but I think it keeps working at this level for much longer so I still take it just before heading for the gym. I don't want to wake up in the middle of the night with DOMS.Were it not for the short gym pump duration and lack of calves pump, I would give it 5 stars.I'm a 47 year old male and I compete in powerlifting. This is a new supplement for me so I always wonder how I'll tolerate it and whether it will be effective. Citrulline Malate is a fine white powder that is a little clumpy in the bag but dissolves well in cold water. It tastes very sour, like a glass of water with lemon juice in it, but I don't mind sour so that wasn't a problem. No off taste or aftertaste at all. No stomach upset issues on an empty or full stomach. I'm going to avoid taking this at the same time as creatine, though, as creatine has been known to mix poorly with acidic foods like grapefruit juice. I'm just doing this out of an abundance of caution, I'm not aware of any recommendation to avoid the mix.I'll have to use it longer to gauge the effect but initially I have felt like my muscles "pumped" quite a bit during my workouts, that recovery soreness level may have improved, and recovery time may be positively affected. This is just a seat-of-the-pants observation, but it's a positive one. BulkSupplements shipped fast and their prices are very competitive. I find myself over time ordering more of my stuff through BulkSupplements as their quality for the price seems to be superior.I have been using Bulksupplements L Citrulinne Pure Powder for a couple of months now for a circulation problem in my lower legs. It seems to be beneficial and I have noticed less pain and discomfort since I have started using it. However, I have been searching for a comparable product that has some taste to it. L Citrulinne DL-Malate 1:1 Powder has a tart taste that satisfies me. Now I just need to try it long enough to see it it causes any stomach distress. Been using it for a week now at a lower dosage than the L Citrulinne Pure Powder and have been pleased with the results. Will definitely reorder one or the other.
